about

Khuon Studio was established in 2015 by me, Architect Huynh Anh Tuan, with the starting point being Kom Tum House Project. For this small one-story house, I put the best effort into actualizing the ideas of space arrangement and adopting customized airbricks on the façade of the building. To commemorate this very first step that has been well received by the public, I have decided to turn the pattern of this airbrick design into the logo of Khuon studio.

This is the story of how I fell in love with airbrick patterns when I was still a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture. I was really excited to visit old buildings of Saigon, including the Independence Palace, the Women’s Museum, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and many others from the golden age of architecture; they lie in scattered locations, yet standing out with their own charm among other modern buildings.

I was occupied with those applications of airbricks in tropical zones like Vietnam, as well as the diversity of airbrick patterns that were customized to create unique yet harmonious identities in the urban context.

This led to the decision to establish Khuon Studio, with a hope to continue using molded concrete airbricks for a unique impression of each particular project.

So far, Khuon Studio has been through a five-year journey and we have completed a number of projects with a wide variety of mold patterns, with the solutions getting more and more refined in terms of aesthetic and functionality. Via this website, Khuon Studio would like to showcase the finished projects that we have designed with heart.

In addition, we would like to express how grateful we are to valued clients who have trusted and allowed us to turn our ideas into reality.

We hope that Khuon Studio will have the opportunity to meet more enthusiatic clients who share our vision of creating designs of the best quality.

With gratitude.
